It's that time of year again, gingerbread cookie time that is!! We have the whole family there, including the dog!

Don at the end of the Wilseyville race, thankful he finished in one piece, disappointed because his bike didn't survive the crashes too well. He ended up racing in second gear for the last two laps. It cost him at least 10 places, but....there's always next year. Perserverance is the key.

Silver Lake

We were fortunate to be able to bring Allison and Sean with us camping to Silver Lake this last summer. It was beautiful up there. Didn't take many pictures but Don and I did have a great hike. It's funny though, it didn't seem so far when I rode that same trail horseback. It took twice as long on foot. We were soooo glad to get back to camp before nightfall!!

Well, here he is. He started out second to last, couldn't start the bike, was AT LEAST 5 minutes behind the pack and STILL managed to finish 9th place out of 40 guys. Way to go, Don!!
Oh, and that's Cody,notice the size of his trophy, he won first in his division. Yeah, Cody!!

Dave Rauer's Retirement Ceremony

Dave retired from the Airforce on Friday, February 22, 2008. Our hats go off to you Dave, and your family, for serving our country for so many years. Way to go!!

Rootie and Jimbo

Friday, February 8th, 2008 was a sad and happy day. It was time to say goodbye to Rootie. After 6 years it was time let another girl spoil him. He will be going to college in the fall, with an 18 year old girl. He'll get to be on the school's horse show team. I'm sure he'll be plenty spoiled there!!

As suprising as it sounds, Jimbo came into my life, on the same day. He is a 14 year old paint horse gelding. He's already proven himself in the cutting show pen. He won over $30,000 in his younger years. With lots of TLC he should be good for another 6 years. So, Jimbo, AKA as IB Diamond Jim, is joining our household very soon. This is the tallest horse I've ever owned. It should be fun riding him.

Notice the trophy? His first "trophy", he's gotten many plaques, but this is the first trophy. Way to go, Don!! 6th place.
